American Designer April Greiman sparked the 1970s movement of California New Wave design. As one of the first designers that immersed into the new digitizing equipment and technologies as a design tool, her early work pushed the boundaries of two-dimensional design. This poster is inspired by my study of April Greiman’s ‘Objects in Space’ (1999) poster along with her other works during the 1970-90s and her collaborations with Jayme Odgers.

An exploration of the prompt 'Implosive Hierarchy' through multiple depictions of type and the integration of abstract shapes surrounding the warped poem, ‘You and I’ by Henry Alford. Experimentation with photography and different mediums was applied to showcase an abstraction of typographic principles.
